Reality of Eid Milad un Nabi

Eid Milad un Nabi is celebrated on 12th of Rabi ul Awal of every year. Rabi ul Awal is the third month of Islamic Calander in which the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) was sent by the Almighty to this ethernal world. Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is the last prophet of God and was sent as a beneficient of the whole world and all the people, animals, jinns, plants and all other creature of Almighty that is revealed to us or otherwise. Hence, the birth day of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is an occasion of great jubiliance for all the creature of the universe.

In view of above, the Mulsims all over the world celebrate Eid Milad un Nabi with great zeal and zest. They used to keep fasting on 12th Rabi ul Awal, distribute sweets among needy, poor and children, decorate the markets, roads and streets, arrange gatherings to remember the lovely moments of the life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). They arrange rallies reciting Quran and naats (poetic praise of the holy Prophet Muhmmad (PBUH).

This is an era when the Muslims are divided in many sects; like sunnies, wahabis, dewobandies, branlies and Shias. Their believes are different believes. Hence, the celebration of Eid Milad un Nabi could prove to be a great source of unity for the Muslim Ummah because their Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is the only one. Their God is also one. Hence, by joining the celebrations of Eid Milad un Nabi, Muslims of every sect could prove themselves to be united.
