Eid Milad Un Nabi

If it is permissible to arrange gathering for the remembrance of teachings of the Holy Prophet than what went wrong with 12th Rabiul Awal, which is the date of birth of Holy Prophet (PBUH). Does any Deobandi or Wahabi has any evidence which says that it is a sin to:-
i.    Arrange gathering on 12th Rabiul Awal.
ii.   Remembering Holy Prophet on 12th Rabiul Awal.
iii.  Distributing sweets among the children, needy and poor on 12th
      Rabiul Awal.

To prove their stance, Deobandis should bring on record a concrete Hadith or a verse of Quran just like the examples given by the Mufti Sahib about offering of Salah and reciting the Quran.

This is a mechanism of Quranic law that what is prohibited is mentioned in Quran and Ahadith and all other things are declared as lawful, as is evident from the following Verses of Quran:-

Forbidden to you (for food) are: Al-Maitah (the dead animals - cattle - beast not slaughtered), blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which Allah's Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering, (that which has been slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah, or has been slaughtered for idols) and that which has been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by the goring of horns - and that which has been (partly) eaten by a wild animal - unless you are able to slaughter it (before its death) - and that which is sacrificed (slaughtered) on An-Nusub (stone-altars). (Forbidden) also is to use arrows seeking luck or decision; (all) that is Fisqun (disobedience of Allah and sin). This day, those who disbelieved have given up all hope of your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But as for him who is forced by severe hunger, with no inclination to sin (such can eat these above mentioned meats. Allah has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables and fruits)]. And those beasts and birds of prey which you have trained as hounds, training and teaching them (to catch) in the manner as directed to you by Allah; so eat of what they catch for you, but pronounce the Name of Allah over it, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Swift in reckoning." (Al-Maeda, Chapter #5, Verse #4)

Certainly, the Wahabis and Deobandis could not bring anything on record to prove that celebration of Eid Milaat un Nabi is Haram or illegal in the light of Verses of Quran or Ahadith, which is, indeed, an evidence that their perceptions and apprehensions about Eid Milaat un Nabi are false.

What you would say about a man who says that since there is no mentioning of vegetables and eggs in Quran, it is not allowable in Islam to eat such things. Most probable worlds for such a human would be “ignorant” and “fool”, who does not possess the knowledge of even the basic principles of Islamic law. There is no mentioning of modern equipments in Quran, neither there is any Hadith to prove that usage of the same falls within the ambit of Sunnah. According to the verdict of the Deobandis, they are all bida’ats, and hence they should ride on camels instead of driving cars and so on.
